About me…

I began my walk on the path of health, fitness, and wellness about 20 years ago. I’ve made many mistakes and learned a lot along the way. After spending my late teen years and my twenties living a life of self indulgence and eventually misery, I decided it was time to make some drastic changes. I gave up the fast food and started learning how to prepare my own meals. I started exercising. I began to learn and develop healthy sleep habits. I started spending time in nature. I committed to a daily meditation practice and began reading books on wellness. Now at almost 50 years old, I feel better and look better than ever!

After going back to school and getting my degree at 30, I became a high school teacher. I taught for almost fifteen years with an emphasis on working closely with at-risk teens. I led my students in meditations, taught subjects like regulating emotions and conflict resolution, and facilitated team building activities. I also work with people in recovery as part of my own recovery. I have a passion for teaching and coaching, especially with people who want to learn how to get well and be healthy.
